embrace the dark

Norway's northern position on the earth provide winter with short daylight hours and long dark hours, particularly north of the Arctic Circle when for several weeks some cities see no sun at all. Missionaries adapt to these long dark days by using what are affectionately called "happy lights" and by taking vitamin D supplements. The great upside is the chance to see periodic beautiful eerie displays of northern lights. We are hoping to experience northern lights at some point this winter.
