The Drammen Stake stretches from Drammen, approximately 40 kilometers south of Oslo, around the southern tip of the country, then north to Ålesund.
Once each year they encourage members to meet in person, up to an 8 hour drive to the conference. After the Saturday leadership meeting and adult session, they have dinner and entertainment from the around the stake. It is a wonderful reunion and unlike any stake conference we have ever attended. To accommodate the crowd, they rent the Fredfoss conference center, about 15 minutes out of Drammen. We reminded the missionaries they wouldn't be getting the same musical entertainment at zone conferences.
